Did you know chronic inflammation causes chronic pain? And when it comes to chronic aches and pains a cabinet full of medicine will only get you so far! Get to bed!
Head to bed at a decent time! Life is hectic, we are all over scheduled and overwhelmed. We live life on the fly, most of us go to bed late and wake up early after tossing and turning. Seriously though, go to bed! Shut off the tv, put down the tablet and leave your phone in the kitchen. Not getting a good nights sleep can lead to more inflammation.
Focus on lean protein snacks and meals. Protein helps your liver to detox all the ick travelling through your body. So keep your body topped up on wholesome, lean protein like chicken, fish and beans. Might I suggest you roasted edamame for snacking? They are super yummy!!
And I mean lots of water!! Our bodies are 70% water so it only makes sense that drinking lots of water would be beneficial. Drinking lots of water is a great way to reduce inflammation because it can flush any toxins out of your system. So grab that glass and start drinking!!
Filling up on trans fat is great for reducing inflammation. But choose healthy fats like fish, avocados, coconuts, olives and nuts and avoid the processed, packaged foods. Sticking to healthy fats can drastically reduce inflammation.
Don’t Eat What You Can’t Pronounce!
Except quinoa, you can eat quinoa. When your out shopping check the labels if your about to buy something choke full of ingredients you can’t pronounce and artificial colours and flavours just put it back on the shelf. Back away from the garbage and walk towards the one or two easy to say ingredient products!! All those artificial, hard to say foods are ramping up your immune system and causing more inflammation.
Cut The Refined Carbs!
Most of us get the majority of our carbs from processed starches and sugars and we need to stop!! All that processed goodness can contribute to dysfunctional metabolism, which goes right along with chronic inflammation. So cut out those refined carbs and start eating healthy carbs like fruit, vegetable and of course beans. These are far better for you and will definitely help reduce chronic inflammation.
